Arts Award

Arts Award

The Arts Award is a national qualification, which supports young people in their development as artists and arts leaders. Doing an Arts Award will help you to develop your creative skills and your ability to communicate well and lead projects. An Arts Award is useful for getting further education opportunities or jobs - in the arts and in other fields.

Young people aged between 11-25 can achieve Arts Awards at levels 1, 2 and 3 (Bronze, Silver and Gold) on the national qualifications framework. Certificates are issued by Trinity College London.

Bronze Level

Through participating in one of the courses, you will have the opportunity to gain a level 1 (Bronze) qualification. This has one unit - Enjoying the Arts. The award involves taking part in the arts, going to arts events, researching an arts hero or heroine and sharing your skills with others.

You record your achievements in a portfolio, including records of arts work you have seen and been part of, your personal reflections on the process and your own research material. You can choose how you present your portfolio - you might make a folder or sketchbook, or a video diary or website.
