The reason for the Tudor street names around Newington Green, such as King Henry's walk and Boleyn Road is because it's thought King Henry VIII spent time around the Green. Not only did he have a hunting lodge on the south side of Newington Green, he also kept his mistresses in various buildings on the Green. More history »
